We liked Playa Palancar. It was kind of funky and quiet and the admission was free. We just bought some drinks and our lunch, which was fresh fish and was good. There were nice groves of trees along the beach which provided plenty of shade and there were areas of sunshine for those who wanted that, too, as well as lots of chairs.
